licorice's herd

Our stray delivered 4 cats on Easter Sunday. Here they are snuggling up to their mother. It will be sad for the Wardlings when the kittens go to other homes. Two will be leaving this next weekend... any takers for the other 2??

team Daniels

Clyde has a newby on his 8th grade teaching team. She was named as new teacher of the year. So Clyde and the team all showed their support to her by wearing track clothes labeled with team Daniels on it. What a good group of coworkers!!

slumber party

Jake had a buddy over for a slumber party. Josh's camp out was rained out that same night, so we combined the sleepover with a campout, in our living room.

AB honor roll for Penny

Downton Abby party

The YW had a Downton Abbey party this past month. Clyde was our version of Carson. I helped as a maid and our girls were just beautiful Ward sisters.

Princess overload

At the shop, we have been working for some customers who wanted to specialty costumes. We had several princesses to make...We have make Tinkerbelle, her purple friend, Belle's blue jumper, the yellow dress, Ariel's blue corseted outfit and her pink ball gown.  I made Belle's apron for the blue dress, Tinkerbelle, and the top for the purple fairy's outfit, Belle's yellow top, Ariel's corset, and Ariel's pink ball gown.

Belle's collar was a pain in the arse!! Those collar pieces had to line up exactly...measured out exactly, then mitered, pain in the arse.

Ariel's pink dress wasn't as bad...except for the sleeves. There were 9 pieces to her sleeve.  Oh, and that piping sucked too.  But it looks pretty rad, once finished. (The dresses can't be exact due to legal reasons.)

Jupiter for sale!

Jacob had an assignment for school a few weeks ago, to play realtor, to sell a planet. He chose Jupiter. In complete Ward fashion, we began the night before to get started. Thankfully , I had some scraps of lumber and Clyde grabbed us a Styrofoam ball on the way home. I built the planet stand, while Jacob painted Jupiter. Clyde and Josh helped with the details and Viola...a Jupiter Planet project. We were so happy with our work and Jacob turned it in the next day, to learn that we still had another day to turn it in. What?!  His initial grade was a  97.  again, What?! Then we got an email from his teacher saying that she had graded the projects on a different rubric from which she sent home. His final grade was 100.
