To find out what was happening in Josh's wrist he had to have an MRI.
Turns out that the scaphoid wasn't broken, but severely bruised. So bruised that the Dr. said that it would take another 3-4 weeks to heal fully. We could keep in in the splint or cast him. Casting would ensure that he couldn't move his arm and that it would heal properly, while splinting it would keep him semi-unmoveable. We opted to cast, which was a good thing, because he fell again on the playgound today. Sheesh! This time the caster had an audience.
We go back in a few weeks to have the cast removed. We promised to bring in some Halloween candy to replinish all the treats the nurses gave to the kids....or that Penny swiped.
